WELCOME TO MIDLIFE CRISIS RECORDS
Midlife Crisis Records (MCR) is an independent record label based in Brisbane, Australia. It was started by Stephen Bruel in 2018 as part of his PhD research project through QUT on remastering audio. At MCR you will find a collection of remastered CDs, digital downloads and videos of studio demo recordings from bands predominantly from the Sutherland Shire in Sydney's south from the 1980s and 1990s. These recordings have been remastered and restored from old cassette tapes to sound fresh and sit comfortably alongside modern recordings.

A R T I S T S
Formed in the Sutherland Shire (Sydney) and the lineup consisted of Stephen Bruel (songwriter, lead vocals and bass guitar), Andrew Wass (guitar and backing vocals), Peter Jackson (keyboards and backing vocals) and Adam Boland on drums.
The Lyres (1984-89) formed in Padstow (Sydney) and consisted of Con Shacallis (lead guitar and vocals), John Varipatis (guitar and vocals), Paul Francis (bass guitar) and Scott Eggington on drums.

Ben's Calf (1992-1995) evolved from The Conductors and the lineup consisted of Stephen Bruel (songwriter, rhythm guitar and lead vocals), Thomas Green (lead guitar and backing vocals), David Pragnall (bass guitar) and Darren Munt (drums).
